Crisis Program

The crisis program is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week to talk to teens who need help and to offer a shelter when needed. If youth have run away from home, or are thinking of running, we listen and help come up with a safe plan. We also talk with parents who have questions or concerns about their teens.

Sometimes young people need a safe place to stay to think things over for a few days.  When a teen is in the shelter, our counselors work to help them start talking with their parents again. Youth meet with their counselor for one-on-one talks, and with their family. They also attend groups where they can talk with other teens about how they are feeling and what helps.

This crisis program is free and voluntary youth are never made to stay if they don’t want to. All our services are confidential; we don’t share what we’re told unless someone’s immediate safety is at risk.
